A few weeks ago, we were able to go home to Utah for a week and both of our families threw us a baby shower! It was so fun and our sweet little Tanner got SPOILED!
Here are some pictures of the Baby Shower that Tom's family threw for us. The decorations were so cute, the games were fun and we just had a great time!!!We drank out of cute Mason Jars, decorated all cute!
Yummy flavored waters and a green Slush!

Tom and my dad were hanging out downstairs with the rest of the "boys"! It was such a fun night! We each had to use our "mustache" if we wanted to say anything that had to do with "baby" or "Tanner"! If you got caught without your mustache, you were out of the game. We also played a fun candy bar game, a baby food game, kind of an "I Spy" game and then everyone had to cut a piece of yarn the length they thought I was around the belly! I'm sad to say that my mom's string was nearly as long as I am tall!!! lol! It was pretty funny!!!
We really had a great time! As soon as I get pictures from the shower my family had for us, I'll post them!
We are so excited for this sweet baby boy to come into our lives! We are down to just over 11 weeks left!!!

Our New Year's News!
Well... We went back to the doctor on Dec. 27th for another ultrasound and we found out.....
Our little Tanner Loel Cahoon is on his way!!! We couldn't be more excited! It was another long ultrasound and I thought the tech was going to give up. After about 45 minutes, he finally decided to cooperate. The tech commented that he had really made her work for that and over the next 10 minutes he wasn't shy about showing us at all! She said, "Ok! Now he is just showing off!!!"
We are so excited and we can't wait for the next 4 months to fly by so we can meet this little man!
We love you Tanner!

18 1/2 weeks!
Well, we went to the doctor the other day to find out if we were having a boy or a girl... We got a lot of great pictures of the baby, but he/she was moving around so much the ultrasound tech couldn't get a good shot of you-know-what... so, we still don't know! We'll give the baby a few more weeks to get a little bigger, then we'll try again! Can't wait to know for sure!

Baby Stuff!
So, for Christmas this year, we decided to just get baby furniture. We found a great Black Friday deal at BabiesRus on a very nice set of nursery furniture! We got there at 4:00am, got right up to the desk to make our order, ended up only 6th in line for the big 5:00 sale and got the only set they had in stock! Our friends helped us get it the next day and we got it all set up! We are very pleased with our purchase! Now I just wish we knew if we are having a boy or a girl so we could finish decorating!!!!

I also found this really cute Pack and Play with a bassinet and changer on it that I really liked! I had to call all over for it and drive nearly 45 minutes to get it.... but I'm very happy that I found that too!!! Things are coming together very nicely! We are having so much fun getting ready for this baby! We can't wait for him/her to get here!!!

Once Upon A Time....
Once upon a time, there was this boy and this girl who fell madly in love and were married for time and all eternity! From the very beginning they wanted to start their family so badly! After 3 years of medications and treatments and surgeries and... ok course, lots and lots of tears and prayers and fasting and prayers... their dreams have finally come true! They found a GREAT doctor who helped them with In-Vitro. It wasn't the "walk in a park" that they hoped it would be, but all those months of trials and pains were all worth it.
We are about 12 1/2 weeks a long... due around May 12th! We could not be happier! This is such a miracle for us! Thank you for all your prayers for us!
6 1/2 weeks!
8 1/2 weeks!

Birthday and Crafts!
My birthday was on September 11th. We went to dinner and saw "The Help"! It was a fun weekend. And, after all these years of "hinting" things that's I'd like to have... Tom pulled it off! For a very long time I have been looking for the "perfect" big picture of Christ to hang in my house. I looked and looked and finally found the perfect picture from Simon Dewey, called "I Am". And Tom surprised me with it! I was so excited!
And, to be honest.... I don't really like Halloween. But, I wanted some kind of cute decoration to hang in the house. So, I made this over Conference Weekend! I think they turned out cute and I had fun making them!

Weekend Project!
So, for a while now we've been talking about fixing our basement stairs and Tom had a few days off, and we had great weather, so we thought we'd try it out! We thought we'd only have to replace the step part of the stairs, but as we were removing them, the stair frames fell apart. The wood was pretty rotted, so we knew we'd have to redo the whole thing! We took one of the frames to Lowes, hoping to buy a couple of pre-made frames.... but just our luck, they didn't have the right size. So, we ended up tracing the good frame and cutting some out of wood. We cut them out, sanded them, stained them, and installed them! For beginners, I think we did a pretty good job! It was actually really fun to learn how to do this together!

Tom cutting out the stair frames! He did a great job and really enjoyed it!
Tom staining the frames and the steps!
The stairs installed! We saved the carpet scraps from the old stairs and put them back on, so the stairs won't we slippery when wet!
Makes the rest of the basement look even worse! lol! Maybe we'll find a new project to do down there!
